Ted Lou Anderson, 83 of Rigby, passed away Monday April 10, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.
Ted was born January 31, 1934 in Rigby, Idaho a son of Luther Anderson and Vera Brown Anderson.
He was raised and attended school in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. He enjoyed sports and played Legion Baseball. Ted was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ted served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Marilyn Gay Lehmberg in Rigby, Idaho and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple on August 19, 1993.
Ted worked for Bendix Aviation in California as a machinist, Roger Brothers in Idaho Falls and U&I Sugar and Bingham Mechanical in Idaho Falls also as a machinist. Ted enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren, camping and fishing.
Ted is survived by his daughter Michele (Layne) Merritt of Ammon, sons, Kevin (Jolene) Anderson of Ammon, Sean Anderson of Rigby, and one brother Aldon Anderson of Renton, Washington, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
