Terry Dean Clifford

Terry Dean Clifford, 79, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Central Utah Veterans Home in Payson, Utah. He was born February 16, 1937, in Spanish Fork, Utah to Elwood O. Clifford and Bernice Hone Clifford. Terry was raised and attended schools in Menan, Idaho, graduating from Rigby High School; he then served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957. On March 8, 1958, he married Jeanne Clifford in Rigby, Idaho; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in Utah on March 15, 1982. Terry worked as a manager for Skaggs Drug (American Stores) throughout his career; then owned and operated his own business; Matco Tools after retiring. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Terry served in several capacities. He also coached little league baseball for many years. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Clifford, of West Valley City, Utah, daughter, Teresa (Ronald) Steele, of Memphis, Tennessee, sons, Terry Gene (Jennifer) Clifford, of West Jordan, Utah, Woody D. (Jonette) Clifford, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, brother, Dale Clifford, of Tooele, Utah, 9 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Robert E. Steele and brothers, Wade and Royd. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Annis Little Butte Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday March 25, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
