Terry Lee Hammon, age 57, of Menan, died Sunday, November 28, 2004, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Terry was born February 28, 1947 at Idaho Falls, Idaho a son of Wilford Lee Hammon and Mary Elizabeth Shaw Hammon. He attended schools in Menan, Midway and graduated from Rigby High School were he wrestled for Rigby High School and played the saxophone in Rigby High School Band. He then attended Ricks College for 1 year. He married Alice Gneiting May 2, 1969 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission for the church to Samoa. He served as a ward clerk in Menan 2nd Ward, taught in the Primary and Sunday School, in a Bishopric at Ricks College and was currently a High Priest Group Instructor. He served as a Scout Master for several years. He enjoyed riding horses and mules, camping, hunting and fishing. He owned Twin Butte Feed and also worked for Green Valley Fertilizer. He is survived by his wife Alice Hammon of Menan, 1 daughter Holly (Kevin) Malcom of Idaho Falls, 2 sons; Eric Ludwig Hammon of Salt Lake City, Utah and Kris Lee (Telietha) Hammon of Menan, his father Wilford Hammon of Menan, 2 sisters, Lois (Dennis) Hansen of Rexburg, and Jolene (Dave) Willis of Rigby. 1 brother, Deloy (Roxanna) Hammon of Menan, and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Menan Stake Center with Bishop Eric Beck officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Menan Stake Center and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
