Tex Owen Bloxham, 75 of Rigby, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born April 8, 1937 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Darwin Owen Bloxham and Helen Rounds Bloxham. He was raised in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. He continued his education at Ricks College. On June 22, 1956, he married Alice Rae Cramer in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He lived in Rigby throughout the majority of his life. Briefly he worked for RCA and for Rocketdyne, in California. He also worked and as an Instrumentation Specialist in the nuclear field at the INL.
Tex was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a Scout Master, High Priests Group Assistant, as a High Counselor, and P.F.R for the Rigby Stake. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and 4 wheeling. He found joy in serving others and taught this value to his family.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Bloxham, of Rigby, sons, Russell (Peggy) Bloxham, of Rigby, Forrest (Myrrie) Bloxham, of Thatcher, Utah, Karl (Brenda) Bloxham, of Roy, Utah, Doug (Christy) Bloxham, of Rigby, Paul (Rachel) Bloxham, of Eagle Mtn., Utah, brother, Edwin (Barbara) Bloxham, of Rigby, 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darwin Owen Bloxham, wife, Alice Rae Cramer Bloxham, and brother, Von Bloxham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Rigby Idaho South Stake Center 106 N. 3800 E. Rigby. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
