Farrell Thain Watson Jr., age 75, of Menan, died at his home, Friday, January 4, 2008.
Thain was born December 14, 1932, a son to Farrell Thain Watson Sr. and Icie Virginia Bailey Watson. He attended Midway High School for one year and graduated from Rigby High School. He enjoyed playing football and basketball at both schools.
On August 20, 1951, he married Joylene Browning in Menan. He served in the United States Navy for three years and in1954 Thain attended barber school in Salt Lake City, Utah. He owned Watsons Bar and Roto Rooter of Menan. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and his charming wit and easy smile will be missed by all
He is survived by his wife, Joylene Watson of Menan, two daughters, Sally (Mike) McKinley of Rexburg and Jill Ann (Mitch) Tibbitts of Kaysville, Utah, one son Ed (Dorothy) Watson of Rigby 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Farrell Thain Watson III, three sisters Nona Toomer, Nellis Gresham and Betty Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the Menan 1st Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Greg Venema officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
