Thelma Jean Sayer Bross,77, of Boise, formerly of Rigby, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Capital Care Center in Boise.
Thelma was born August 1, 1928 in Rigby, Idaho a daughter of John Earl Sayer and Leona Mcleran Sayer. She was raised and attended school in Rigby. Thelma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thelma married Richard “Dick” Bross on December 6, 1958 in Swan Valley, Idaho. She had lived in the Boise area since 1985. Thelma worked as a waitress at the Sno-Balls Restaurant in Swan Valley, Idaho. She loved to bowl, snow ski, camp and was an avid rock hound.
Thelma is survived by her husband Richard H. Bross of Boise, two daughters; VaLynn V. (Ray) Mathie of Boise, Monique T. (Aaron) Jefferies of Boise, two sons; Brad A. (Annette) Elg of Boise, Von R. (Debbie) Bross of King Hill and two sisters; Helen Williams of Oregon, and Marty (Brian) Hinks of Utah, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Thelma is preceded by her parents, daughter Danette Jean Elg, brother Max Sayer, and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2006. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the service at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
