Thelma Mary Franck, 84, of Menan, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at her daughters home in Menan. Thelma was born October 23, 1917, at Ozone, Idaho a daughter of Clarence Morley Allen and Cora Gates Allen. She grew up and attended schools in the Ammon area. She married Lee Walter Franck, in the Logan L.D.S. Temple, October 25, 1934. He preceded her. Thelma was a member of the L.D.S. church. She was one of the founding members of the Idaho branch of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, handwork, sports (especially baseball with her children and grandchildren) and canning her garden produce. Survivors include: Daughters: Mrs. Theda (Neil) Gray of Menan, Idaho. Jolene Pinnock of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sons: Dan Lavell (Barb) Franck of Hondo, Texas Alfred Lee Franck of Terreton, Idaho. Eli Allen (Jeannie) Franck of Wayland, Michigan Michael Reed (Dorothy) Franck of Missoula, Montana David Herman (Shanon) Franck of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Walter Glen (Lorna) Franck of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Truman Kent (Sue) Franck of Ririe, Idaho. Rulon Jay (Janet) Franck of Menan, Idaho. Carl Eugene Franck of Rexburg, Idaho. George Ray Franck of Ririe, Idaho. Sisters: Leora Lundquist of Shelley, Idaho. Viola Gardner of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Her brother: Melvin (Lillie) Allen of Yuma, Arizona. 64 grandchildren. 95 great grandchildren. 3 great great grandchildren. She was Preceded by her: Husband: Lee Walter Franck. Daughters: Mary Eileene Cutler and Janet Franck Sister: Bertha Brother: Cecil Allen Grandsons: Travis Franck and Robert Franck Great granddaughter Mckinna Franck Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the Menan Stake Center with Bp. Randy South, officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening 7:00-8:30 P.M. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and Tuesday 9:30-10:45 A.M. at the church. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho.
