Theo Marie Sadorus

May 13, 1952 — July 27, 2024

Theo M. Sadorus, a cherished mother, devoted wife, and beloved grandmother, gracefully left this world at the age of 72, embraced by the love of her family at Madison Memorial Hospital on July 27, 2024. Born on May 13, 1952, to Thomas and Adeline Dahl, Theo blossomed in Tri-Cities, Washington, where she proudly graduated in 1971, laying the foundation for a life rich in service and love. In her final days, she lived in Rigby, ID, surrounded by the echoes of laughter and love of grandchildren that filled her heart.

On May 30, 1975, Theo embarked on an extraordinary journey by enlisting in the Army Reserves, where she rose to the esteemed rank of Sergeant First Class E7, serving with unwavering dedication until her retirement on May 13, 2012. Life's paths led her through the trials of a previous marriage that blessed her with three incredible children: Brad, Tom, and Alana Hatfield. But the story didn't end there. Destiny smiled upon her as she moved to Idaho, where she found her soulmate, Bret Sadorus. Their union on August 25, 1989, in beautiful St. Anthony, ID, sparked a love story that would last a lifetime, with two more daughters, Tosha and Jessica, sweetening their lives. As if it were a cruel twist of fate, they were on the brink of celebrating 35 years of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

Theo dedicated 12 years of her life to the Department of Corrections Work Camp, where she relished her role supervising the cooking crew during summer, nurturing the firefighters with care and delectable meals. Throughout her life, she treasured the moments spent with family and friends - camping under starlit skies, fishing in serene lakes, swimming in refreshing waters, and embarking on unforgettable vacations. In the past few years, she joyfully challenged her husband in heated card games and lost herself in the art of needlepoint, reveling in the peaceful rhythm of creativity. Her heart overflowed with love as she savored precious moments with her grandchildren, those shining lights of her life.

Theo leaves behind a robust legacy, survived by her beloved husband, Bret Sadorus, her son, Tom (Cendy) Hatfield, doting daughters, Alana Davis, and Tosha (Jerry) Curr, along with nine adoring grandchildren who were the pride of her heart. She is now at peace, reunited with her cherished parents, Thomas and Adeline Dahl, her brother Thomas Jr., sister Dixie Stallbaum, her son Bradley Hatfield, and daughter Jessica Hathaway, all of whom await her in a gentle embrace beyond this world.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses and doctors at Madison Memorial Hospital, whose unwavering support and care enveloped Theo in her final days, reminding her that love and kindness prevail even in the most challenging moments
