Thomas Keith Green

Thomas Keith "Tom" Green passed away in his sleep from a heart attack on December 23rd, 2014. Tom was born in Wrightstown, New Jersey, on November 29th, 1966. Tom's early years were spent traveling with his parents on military assignments throughout the world. When Tom was 11 years old, the family settled in Rexburg, Idaho where Tom grew up and graduated from high school in 1984. As a youth, Tom enjoyed skateboarding, unicycling, skiing, snowboarding, running, and pole vaulting. In high school he was a member of the state champion cross country team from Madison High School, an accomplishment of which he was very proud. After graduating from high school, Tom moved to Sun Valley to work for the resort and in a ski shop tuning skiis. Tom married Elizabeth Lee Gann in 1986, moved to Southern California and shortly after welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Kastle, to their family. Tom and his family moved to Reno, Nevada and eventually to Hickory, North Carolina where Tom went to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to become a mechanical engineer. Tom worked as an engineer for Corning Fiber Optics. Tom and Liz were later divorced and Tom married Dawn Gates and lived in Matthews, North Carolina for a short time. They were later divorced and Tom moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho and worked for AMET Manufacturing in Rexburg. At the time of his passing, Tom was working in the Electronics Department at Wal-Mart in Ammon. Tom was a very loving father, brother, son, uncle, and cousin. He loved skiing and snowboarding and spending time with his daughter. He loved to play with and tease his daughter, nieces, nephews, and little cousins. His family benefited from his technological savvy, his cooking skills, and his fun sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Tom is survived by his daughter, Kastle Aschliman (Clay) of Richmond, Virginia, his parents, Billy and Beverly Green of Ammon, Idaho, his sisters, Lori Miller (John) of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and Kristi Lords (Don) of Rexburg, Idaho, and seven adoring nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Ammon 16TH Ward (Centennial) LDS Chapel on the corner of John Adams Parkway and Crowley Road (45TH East) in Ammon. The family will receive from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery in Teton, Idaho. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
