Eckersell Thomas E. Staggs SR passed away Monday, April 3, 2006 at his residence in Canaveral Groves, Florida. Tom was born on January 12, 1950 in Rigby, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years as a proud submariner. He Retired in 1998 as a Senior Chief Storekeeper. At the time of his death he worked as Inventory and Supply specialist for KLSS at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. He was an active member of the VFW, American Legion and served as president of the Vintage Vehicles Car Club of Titusville, Florida.
Tom is survived by his wife of 25 years, Connie, sons, Steven Lombard of Milwaukee, Oregon, Matthew Lombard of Bremerton, Washington, Thomas E. Staggs JR (T.J.) of Kings Bay, Georgia, and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Staggs, Bill Helm and Ben Helm, sisters, Tammi Hathaway and Paula Merill, numerous nieces and nephews, step-father, Andy Helm and step-mother Willie Staggs all from Idaho.
A memorial service will be held at 11a.m., Friday, July 28th at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Tom Staggs Memorial Scholarship Fund at: Vintage Vehicles Car Club, P.O. Box 952 Titusville, FL 32781
