Thurman Harvey Mobley, 71 of Idaho Falls, died Thursday, February 02, 2006, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Thurman was born December 18, 1934, in Clark, Idaho a son of Harvey Woodrow Mobley and Beulah Chloy Harrop Mobley. He was raised and attended school in Menan and Rigby. He graduated from the Rigby High School. After high school he attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Math Education. He then received his Masters in Education Administration. Thurman served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years as an electronics technician. He retired from the Air Force in 1978. Thurman married Alice Burt in October of 1961. They were later divorced. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thurman enjoyed photography, reading, electronics, shooting and reloading ammunition.
Thurman is survived by two daughters, Kim Mobley of Texas, and Vickie Ballentine of Middleton, New Hampshire, two sisters Thurla (William) Thornton of Ammon, and Betty Larsen of Lancaster, California, and one brother Errol (Linda) Mobley of Clark, Idaho, and 5 grandchildren.
Thurman was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. The family will visit with friends on Saturday prior to the service at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m.
