Tonia Winger Peterson

Tonia Winger Peterson, our beloved mother, daughter, and sister, 45, of Idaho Falls, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at her home. She was born July 31, 1966 in Rexburg, Idaho to Herbert Floyd Winger and Edna Gaye Lemmon Winger. She was raised in Rigby and Idaho Falls. She attended schools in Rigby until 5th grade, then attended Bonneville Jr. High and High School. She married Bryan Peterson February 13, 1999, they were later divorced. She worked as a floor manager at Beauty for All Seasons for 14 years, and as an office manager at various businesses in Idaho Falls. She was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Idaho Falls. Tonia received her greatest joys when she was surrounded by her wonderful children and grandchildren. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends. Her presence made life easier for everyone around her. She always made us feel loved and lifted us wither her smile. She was a wonderful, kind, and loving person. She was not only our greatest fan, she was our best friend. She leaves her family with the knowledge that they were truly loved. We are honored to have been given the gift of being her children and family. She was our bright light. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Justin Ric (Billie Roth) Flitton and her daughter, Aleksa Gaye Peterson both of Idaho Falls, her mother Edna Gaye Johnson, of Idaho Falls, a sister, Tami Gaye (John) Darfler of Idaho Falls, a brother, Bart Winger of Idaho Falls, and 2 grandchildren, Kyra and Kaybree. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Floyd Winger, step-father, Wayne Johnson, and a nephew, Brady Steven Winger. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Calvary Chapel, 4250 S. 25th E. (Hitt Road) in Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evening and from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., prior to services, both to be held at the Calvary Chapel. Food and fellowship gathering immediately following service. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
