Tony Ray Hathaway, age 55, of Rigby, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Tony was born July 9, 1956 at Rigby, Idaho a son of Jediah “Bud” Hathaway and Pamela Wareham Hathaway. He attended schools in Rigby graduating from Rigby High School. He married Tammi Helm, June 4, 1982 in Menan. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He worked at Bud’s Auto Body as an auto body repairman in Rigby. He was a member of the LDS Church and served as the president of the Sunday School Class. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, WWE Wrestling, Kansas City Chiefs football, Saturday morning coffee with his mother and siblings and dearly loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by: his wife Tammi of Rigby, four daughters; Shana (Cliff Clayton) Valerio of Anchorage, Alaska; Andrea (Frosty) Frame of Rigby; Barbara Hathaway (Jerry Leonardson) of Rigby, Autumn (Jeremiah) Glinski of Idaho Falls; three sons: Travis (Danielle) Hathaway of Jackson Center, Ohio; Tony (Lindsay) Hathaway of Rexburg; Timothy Hathaway of Idaho Falls; his mother Pamela Hathaway of Rigby, two sisters Tammy (Scott) Hall of Rigby; Tracy (Mark) Wilson of Rigby, one brother Terry (Valerie) Hathaway of Ucon and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Trena.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby 12th Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Ron Young officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Central Cemetery in Grant, Idaho.
