Torren Lee Wells 55 passed away Monday October 24, 2022 at his home on the farm in Rexburg Idaho. His strong body finally succumbed to a life of struggles.
He was born on July 18, 1967 at Madison Memorial Hospital to Larry and Utona Wells. He was the fourth of five children and came into this world with a big heart. He loved to bring joy to others through kindness, jokes and laughter. He grew up and attended schools at Ririe, Bonneville, and Gethsemane.
In 1990, Torren and Sheryl Robertson had a daughter Aleesha Marie. Torren found a lot of joy and pride in being a father to Aleesha. He loved being a grandpa to Aleesha’s four daughters: Lily, Harper, Zoey, and Karter. Torren later met Adele Beeson and embraced Emma as his stepdaughter. In 2010 a baby boy was born to this family, Angus Mark. His children and grandchildren filled his life with love and happiness.
Torren was a skilled handyman. He could build, fix and create anything. His many careers included: construction (Commercial General), staff support (Wilderness Quest), production work (Idaho Pacific), landscaping and servicing swimming pools, and farming (Larsen Farms and Jeppesen Farms). Torren was always very self-less and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need; money was never a priority to him. Torren spent a lot of his life fighting his demons. He found peace in the solitary and beauty of the mountains and wilderness. His laughter was contagious and anyone he came in contact with was quick to call him a friend.
Torren is survived by his daughter, Aleesha Marie (Brinton) Sharpe of Cedar City, UT; Angus Mark Wells of Hotchkiss, CO; Emma Beeson of Hotchkiss, CO; mother, Utona Erickson Garcia of Ririe, ID; step-mother, Karen Wells of Monticello, UT; siblings, Anngela (Buddy) Starnes of Idaho Falls, ID; Monte (Sheila) Wells of Monticello, UT; Michelle (Bevan) Jeppesen of Rexburg, ID; Tereena (Mark) Barnes of Rigby, ID; John (Emilee) Wells of Roosevelt, UT; Chris (Krista) Wells of American Falls, UT; Gary (Cortney) Garcia of Clovis, NM; four grand-daughters; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wells; sister Rebekah Wells; and grandparents.
A graveside service will be held for friends and family at Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho, Saturday October 29, 2022 at 4:00pm. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that you do something nice for someone.
