Una Rae Horton

Una Rae Simpson, Horton, 62, of Rigby, passed away, Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at her home. She was born February 18, 1947, in Afton, Wyoming, to Jess Simpson and Ivy Hunsaker Simpson. She graduated from Star Valley High School in 1965, shortly after she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. She married her best friend and soul mate, Frank Horton, on October 24, 1986. Una loved her 3 dogs and being outside whether it was working in her yard, or just relaxing. Una touched many lives, while battling cancer. She was always very positive and kept a strong attitude, which influenced many people. She is survived by her parents; Jess and Ivy Simpson, of Evanston, Wyoming, husband; Frank Horton, of Rigby, Idaho, children; Mike Stoddard, of St. George, Utah, Ronda, (Robbert) Jenson, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Randy Stoddard, of Salt Lake city, Utah, Kristy (Jeremy) Gregerson, of Santa Clara, Utah, Maria Horton Miller, of Juneau, Alaska, siblings; LuGene (Bob) Osmond, of Evanston, Wyoming, Doyle Simpson, Sharon (Tim) Trefren, Karen Huston, both of Thayne, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Amanda Lee Stoddard. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Thayne First Ward church, in Thayne, Wyoming on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. A graveside service will follow, at 1:00 p.m., in the Thayne Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel, Rigby, Idaho.
