Val Dean Hanni

Val Dean Hanni, 90, peacefully passed away on October 12, 2023 in Goodyear Arizona.

He was born on December 8, 1932 in Rigby Idaho to Dean Hanni and Maxine Lufkin Hanni. After graduating High School, Val honorably served in the United States Army for two years.

He married the love of his life, Carma Rose Briggs, in 1956.

During his life, Val worked in construction for over 40 years, where he was in numerous places in the country.

Val was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fishing was Val’s passion throughout his life. He loved his family and loved to go to horse races.

Val is preceded in death by his sweetheart, Carma; a son Craig; sister Georgia and parents Dean and Maxine.

He is survived by his son Brett (Cindy) Hanni of Plain City Utah, Blake (Janelle) Hanni of Boise Idaho, brother Forest Hanni of Idaho Falls, nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Val will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will we held for Val on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 W Main St Rigby ID 83442) A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
