Van Nyman Johnson

Van Nyman Johnson, age 42, of Rigby, died Tuesday February 8, 2005. Van was born June 13, 1962 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Nyman Dale Johnson and Zelda Marcia Morgan Johnson. He was privileged to be raised in several parts of the world. He lived in Rigby, Idaho, Monterey, California, Turkey (for 3 years), Germany and Sierra Vista, Arizona. In Sierra Vista he met the love of his life and high school sweetheart Mary Eileen Grill. They later married on November 29, 1980 at St. Andrews Church in Sierra Vista, Arizona. They were soon blessed with their daughter Nikki. They lived in Sierra Vista until moving to Rigby in 1987. He worked for Skaar Feedlot for 10 years before returning to his true passion, Sheet Metal Work and HVAC. He worked for Hallco Heating and Air and currently was working for Design Heating Innovations. He took great pride in his work. Van enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four wheeler, working with sheet metal, and was a very giving, big hearted man who loved his family. Van is survived by his wife Mary Johnson of Rigby, 1 daughter Nicole Marie Johnson of Rigby and his father Nyman Johnson of Rigby and too many others to list. He was preceded in death by his mother Zelda and father-in-law Fred Grill. Graveside services will be held at Annis Little Butte Cemetery, Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
