Vaughn Stuart Nebeker, age 65, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Rigby, passed away in Idaho Falls, Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
Vaughn was born in Rigby, July 20, 1952 a son to Alvin Edwin Nebeker and Rebecca Bebee Rosezella Runolfson Nebeker. He was raised in the Rigby area attended schools there. He Joined the Army in 1971 and while in the service graduated from Stuttgart Germany High School after participating in the Pre-discharge education program. He returned home in 1974 and attended Ricks College where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Biology. He then attended Eastern Idaho Vocational Technical School in Idaho Falls and studied Business Law. He Served in the Army National Guard until 1977. He then joined the Navy and was medically discharged from the Navy in 1977. He was honored with an Individual Presidential Citation for Service Above and Beyond the Call of Duty.
Vaughn enjoyed Inventing Technologies, movies, friendships, long walks and gathering aluminum cans along the highway.
Vaughn is survived by four brothers: Jack of Lost Creek, Montana, Alton “Joe” of Idaho Falls, Andrew of Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and John of Orem, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters: Donna, Ada, Josephine and Shirley and a brother Doug.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5 th , 2018 at Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
