Vaughn Williams Phillips (57), a resident of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away on September 23 rd , 2021 at 1:20 AM at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Vaughn was born on November 22 nd , 1963, in Idaho Falls to his parents, LaRue Williams and David Dee Phillips. He attended West Jefferson High School in the class of 1983, graduated with Ricks College with an associate’s degree, and achieved his Bachelor’s Degree from Idaho State University in Computer Information Systems in the class of 1992.
He was currently unmarried. Previous spouses include Julie Kaye Warner Phillips Macki and Loa Simmons. He was a financial manager throughout his life, being employed as a mortgage loan officer, tax preparer, and lastly, a retail merchandiser. Throughout his adult life, he lived in Terreton, Idaho, Pocatello, Idaho, Ucon, Idaho, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Rigby, Idaho, Grant, Idaho, Rexburg, Idaho, and Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Vaughn was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held leadership roles in Sunday School and Elder’s Quorum. His latest calling was as a Temple & Family History Consultant. He served a mission in the upper peninsula of Michigan. His hobbies included: thrifting, creative cooking, and flaunting his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his children, Rachel Phillips, Erik Jordan (Christen) Phillips, and Rebekah (Jared) Antis, as well as his siblings, Brent David Phillips, Ray Edward (Debbie) Phillips, Paul Charles (Charlene) Phillips, Wayne Merritt (Corinne) Phillips, and Nancy Phillips. He currently has two grandchildren, Hayden Grant Phillips and Molly June Phillips, born to Erik and Christen Phillips.
Services to honor Vaughn Williams Phillips’ life will be held on Thursday, September 30 th , 2021 at 11 AM Mountain Standard Time at Eckersell Funeral Home. An online broadcast will also be available for those unable to attend in person. A viewing prior to the service will be held from 9 AM to 10:45 AM at Eckersell Funeral Home. Interment will be held after the funeral services at West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, also known as Mud Lake Cemetery.
