Verna Ann Gardner, age 72 of Idaho Falls, died Monday, July 25, 2005 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Verna was born July 26, 1933 at Ucon, Idaho a daughter of Arley Byram and Mary Ann Perrenoud Byram. She attended Ucon Schools. She married James L. Gardner in Ucon January 5, 1950. She worked on the farm with her husband, for Slusser Wholesale and Ruston Meat Plant. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, four wheeling, canning and gardening.
Survivors include her husband James L. Gardner of Idaho Falls, 3 daughters: Cheryl (Gary) Pence of Idaho Falls, Judy (Kenneth) Rieth of Idaho Falls and Sharon (Keith) Brammer of Iona, 3 sisters, Larene (Ray) Bird of Idaho Falls, Colleen (Ivan) Cook of Oregon, Mary Lou (Gerald) Jolley of Idaho Falls, 1 brother John Arley “Jack” (Barb) Byram of Utah, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son Brent, 1 sister June and 1 brother Dallas and 1 grandson Travis Brammer.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ucon Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
