Vernal William Sessions, age 73 of Litchfield Park, Arizona, died Monday, November 22, 2004 at West Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Vernal was born April 21, 1931 at Chinook, Montana a son of Roy LaVern Sessions and Aurilla Humphrey Sessions. He attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He married Norma Jacobs, June 21, 1960 at Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. He owned and operated Exxon Business Farmers Savings Center in Roberts for 22 years. He worked Road Construction for Mitchell Construction in Pocatello for 7 years. He was a member of Idaho Falls Junior Chamber of Commerce. He moved to St. Anthony and worked at the Youth Training Center. He was in the adopted Grandparent Program for 5 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, was an avid horseman and raised cattle. Survivors include 1 daughter Janeal (Peter) Metcalf of Phoenix, Arizona, 2 sons Steve (Brenda) Sessions of Flagstaff, Arizona and Tom (Luly) Sessions of Independence, Idaho, 1 sister Beth (Kenneth) Anderson of Rexburg, Idaho, 2 brothers, Allen Sessions of Carlton, Oregon and Gary Sessions of Rathum, Idaho, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Taylor Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, from 12:30 until time of service. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
