Virgil Allen Hail, 60, of Rigby passed away January 27, 2022 at the Byington Boat Dock in Bonneville County Idaho.
Virgil was born June 19, 1961, in Arco, Idaho the son of Virgil Lavon Hail and Clara Virginia Bell Hail. He was raised in Arco and attended school there. He married Jodi Renea Kirchofner in January of 1982, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They late divorced.
Virgil lived in Arco and then in Oklahoma where he worked in the oil fields. He later moved to Idaho Falls and then to Rigby.
He was a yard foreman at Yellowstone Log Homes for 34 years.
Virgil loved to fish, and fish some more and fish more even still, hunting and going on drives to be out seeing the wildlife and different places. Virgil also liked to play Santa, doing events with Pepsi, Day Cares, families and his own family. His suit has been handed down from his father and is now handed down to the next generation. He loved to put together little gift bags.
Virgil is survived by his daughters, Randi N. (Terri) Kirchofner of Las Vegas, Nevada, Amber (Alex) Estrada of Rigby, Kylee D. Hail of Rigby, Brother Barry (Sunshine) Hail of Washington, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob Hail, sisters Katrina Woodbridge and Terry Buckland.
A memorial service will be held on February 2, 2022 at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
