Virginia P. Rocco, 89 years old, passed away in Rigby, Idaho on January 8, 2024. She was born in her family’s home in Disney, Oklahoma in 1934. She was a high school graduate. Family was the most important thing to Virginia. She enjoyed going to the beach to bask in the sun, fun in the sand, but definitely, she did not enjoy the shore because she did not like getting into the ocean. She was adventurous and even rode an elephant with one of her grandsons.
She was married to her childhood sweetheart for 52 years. While her husband was away serving as a Marine in the Korean and Viet Nam wars, Virginia worked as a secretary and raised three children. She loved bowling and crossword puzzles and could lose herself in a casino. She especially loved the large family gatherings during holidays and celebrations.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ida Brown, husband, Daniel Rocco, and her sister, Dorothy, and is survived by her three children: Laura [Michael, deceased] Liles, Ralph [Cammey] Rocco, and Robert [Evelyn] Rocco; five grandchildren, Royce Rocco, Danielle Rocco, Shawnese [Anton] Kraemer, Cierra [Erik] Britton, and Ryan Rocco, along with five great grandchildren and her brother, Carl [Karen] Brown Jr.
She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be missed.
