Walter Eugene Kelley

Walter Eugene Kelly, 97 of Rigby, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg. Walter was born January 5, 1918 at Minden, Nebraska a son to Lucien Mike Kelly and Grace Ernest Monroe Kelly. He attended Idaho Falls Schools. He worked as a welder for the Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years in California. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 2080 in Southgate, California. After he retired he moved to Rigby and lived here since 1979. He is survived by: Frances L. Beck of Rigby, Diana Lynn Robinson of California, Janet L. Moro of Wilsonville, Oregon, Lawrence James Beck Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, three great-great grand nephews and two great-great grandnieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and a nephew “Wally” Walter George Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
