Walter Earnest Romriell

Walter Earnest Romriell, 73, of Menan, Idaho, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his home. Walter was born August 11, 1944 to Lloyd Delmont Romriell and Mildred Elizabeth Hancock in Pocatello, Idaho. He grew up and attended schools in Pocatello where he graduated from Pocatello High School in 1964. After graduation he joined the Army and served for 6 years. He married Lynda Jean Barrow on January 3, 1967 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to the Pacific North-Western area where he built Church buildings and Temples. He worked at M.J. Elevators, Jenco, Elders Burial Vaults, Hall’s Church Dairy, Oramond Builders, and as a custodian at Midway Jr. High and Idaho Falls High schools. He loved hunting, fishing, playing with the dog, going to Island Park and being outside. Walter is survived by his wife Lynda, daughters, Lynda Krista (Hans) Meng of Sugar City, Idaho, Kammy (Thomas) Smith, sons, Walter Lynn (Brooky) Romriell of Kuna, Idaho, Patrick Alan Lloyd (Angela) Romriell of Geneva, New York, Michael Freamon (Stephanie) Romriell of Menan, Idaho, a brother, Arthur (Terri) Romriell as well as 23 grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents Lloyd and Mildred Romriell, sisters, Denea Barnes, Janet Romriell, Elizabeth Saxton, and Aileen Shears, a brother Kenneth Romriell and a granddaughter Kylee Jean Smith. Funeral service will be Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Menan LDS Stake Center (698 North 3600 East Menan).
