Warren C. Denning, 90, of Rigby, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Monday, February 23, 2009, in Idaho Falls.
He was born April 15, 1918, in Ammon, to Warren Phillip Denning and Bertie Mable Null Denning. He was raised and attended schools in Ammon. On August 27, 1939, he married Freeda Talbot, in Idaho Falls; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on February 19, 1957. He worked in potato processing for 44 years, 25 of those years he worked as General Manager of Idaho Fresh Pak in Lewisville.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a Century Club Member of the Boy Scouts of America. Warren retired in 1985; he and Freeda enjoyed their retirement years in Arizona in the winter and Aspen Acres in the summer. His greatest joy was golfing, fishing, and camping, with his family.
He is survived by his daughters; Marge (Paul) Wise, of Idaho Falls, Barbara (Marlow) Cordon, of Rigby, Judy (John) Payne, of Idaho Falls, a son; Joe (Nancy) Denning of Idaho Falls, a sister; Alice Lake, of Yuma, AZ, Brothers; Ray (Phyllis) Denning, of Yuma, AZ, Bill (May) Denning, of Lewistown, MT, Don (Linda) Denning, of Kalispell, MT, sisters-in-law; Edna Denning, of Rigby, Pat Denning, of Great Falls, MT, 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Freeda, a son, Robert, 2 infant sisters; Dora and Beth, and three brothers; Ed, Carl, and Paul.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2009, at the Grant LDS Chapel, with Bishop Blaine Ball, conducting. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30, Thursday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., all at the church. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
