Wendell D. Palmer

Wendell Palmer age 78 passed away at his home on August 20, 2018 surrounded by his boys.  Wendell was born June 3, 1940 in Jefferson County to Henry Palmer and Pearl Bird Palmer.  Wendell was the youngest of 10 siblings.  Wendell attend schools in Rigby Idaho. At the age of 14 Wendell started to work as a rancher.
On November 12, 1958, Wendell married the love of his life Joan ReJean Beardall.  During the years Wendell and ReJean were joined by 4 boys, Dee, Wade, Blaine and Merwin Palmer. Wendell had 4 Grandchildren.
Wendell and ReJean raised their boys in the Pahsimeroi on Pines Grazing Ranch and Salmon Idaho for the Newman's.  He raised, broke and traded many horse. Wendell had a way with horses.
Wendell and ReJean moved to Rexburg in 1998 to the home were ReJean was raised.
Wendell was preceeded by his wife ReJean, Son Dee, his parents, 3 Sisters and 4 Brothers. He is survived by his 3 boys. Wade Palmer, Blaine (Kabrina) Palmer and Merwin Palmer and 4 Grandchildren Austin (Cheyenne) Gilbert, Sierrea Gilbert, Shawnnee Palmer and Braxten Palmer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho. The family will meet with friends on Thursday night from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. and from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. before the service on Friday. Internment is at Milo Cemetery.
