Wendy Sue Rose, 50, of Menan and formerly of Rigby, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2018. She was born on March 12, 1968, to Gary Lee and Rebecca Culbertson Rose. It was clear from the beginning that Wendy was a special soul. She lived with her family in Smithfield, UT, before moving to Idaho Falls for a short time, then moved to Rigby, ID. Last fall, her family moved to Menan to be closer to her sister, Karen, who was the major caregiver for her. Wendy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved to go to Relief Society and always wanted to bear her testimony on Fast Sunday. Whenever a lesson required an answer, she would always raise her hand and say, “Be nice.” She liked to sing the hymns and lead the music. Wendy’s favorite thing to do was play Uno, and most of the time she would win fair and square! She also loved listening to music on her headphones and watching, “Happy Days.” Wendy had many sweet friends at Journey’s in Rigby, and will be missed by them and the staff there. Everyone who met her will remember her. She loved her bus drivers, doctors, pharmacists, and therapists. She truly touched the lives of hundreds of people. Wendy is survived by her parents, Gary and Becky Rose of Rigby, sisters, LeeAnn (Todd) Summers of Ammon, Karen (Duane) Taylor of Menan, seven nieces and nephews and their spouses, and eight great nieces and nephews. Funeral services are under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home and will be held on July 5, 2018 at 11:00 at the Menan Stake Center with Brother Scott Miller officiating. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
