Wendy Denise Tall

February 15, 1958 — May 16, 2013

Wendy Denise Munns Tall, 55, of Idaho Falls, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her home in Idaho Falls. Wendy was born February 15, 1958 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Ralph Dean Munns and Merle Beazer Munns. She was raised and attended schools in the Menan and Rigby areas, graduating from Rigby High School in 1976. She continued her education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and BYU, in Provo, Utah. On April 18, 1980, she married Mark Asael Tall in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple and was later blessed with three sons. The couple started their family in Southern California, and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked at the University Hospital in the Neurological Surgery Department as a secretary. Wendy helped support her family as a homemaker and dental practice bookkeeper in Tucson, Arizona and Idaho Falls, Idaho, as Mark pursued his dental career. Wendy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. Most recently, she served in the Idaho Falls Temple until her health kept her from doing so. Her exemplary faith touched the hearts of those around her and helped others to seek after our Heavenly Father. Family was Wendy’s top priority and she loved her boys, and later daughters-in-law. She was a dedicated mother, supporting them in scouting, school, and pushing them in their sporting events. She enjoyed life, and being in nature with her family even if it meant surpassing her physical constraints. There wasn’t much she didn’t enjoy and was enthused about many activities; skiing, wake-surfing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and biking to name a few. She especially cherished her time with her grandson and showered him with love… and toys. Wendy had a loving heart. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed sending quilted care packages to those in need. Her loving nature stayed with her even in her most difficult times and will be felt from her heavenly home above. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Asael Tall; her three sons, John Matthew (Kimberly Maynard) Tall, Ryan Creed (Kaeli Hansen) Tall, Jacob Allen Tall; grandson, Stoctyn Creed Tall; mother, Merle Beazer Munns; sister, Marnae Munns; brothers, Rickie LaMoyne Munns, Terrell Bruce Munns, and Kevin Dean (Jeanette) Munns. Her father, Ralph Dean Munns, and sister, Cynthia Diane Hillman, preceded her in death. The Family would like to thank Dr. Scott Taylor, Hands of Hope Hospice, and all of the healthcare providers for the diligent service they provided to Wendy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Blackhawk LDS Chapel, 7118 South Ledgerock Drive in Ammon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, all at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery; services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
