Wesley Paul Nelson passed away peacefully during sleep, at his home in Rigby, Idaho on January 8, 2022 from a failing heart and lifelong struggle with kidney disease at the young age of 38. Wesley was born in Safford, Arizona to Paul and Debra Nelson July 11, 1983. He spent his younger years attending elementary school in the small farming town in Duncan, Arizona where he loved to ride four-wheelers and play on his family’s farm. He moved at the age of 12 to Liberty, Missouri with his family where he graduated high school. His family moved to Independence, Missouri during his later teenage years. After high school, Wesley attended college at NHMCC in Houston, Texas where he studied graphic design and art. He later transferred to EAC in Arizona. He met the love of his life in 2006; Alicia Woodworth. They purchased a home in Independence, Missouri. Wesley and Alicia were married July 18, 2008 and were blessed with 2 beautiful children; Taylor William Nelson (May 10, 2010) and Shelby Anne Nelson (December 20, 2012). Wesley and his family moved to Lee Summit, Missouri in 2015 and then to Rigby, Idaho in July 2020 where he spent the last short years of his life with his loving family. Wesley Nelson is survived by his beautiful wife Alicia; children Taylor and Shelby; his father Paul Nelson of Willard, Missouri; and 3 siblings, Michael (Amy) Nelson of San Antonio, Texas, Tiffany (Dan) Buhman of Coppell, Texas, and Marcie (Ben) Cloud of Willard, Missouri. He was the best dad to his children and a loving husband, brother, and son. He was an outstanding carpenter, a great handyman, loved fast cars, movies, music, and would be the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a truly genuine man; one of a kind, and will be missed greatly. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 5 North 3900 East, Rigby, Idaho 83442.
