Willard A Moore, age 79 of Ririe, passed away at his home Sunday, February 21, 2021.  Willard was born March 2, 1941 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a son to Alfred and Lucille Finn Moore.

As a boy he worked alongside his family on the family-owned farm.  He was particularly good with the livestock and built a small milk business with his sister Marion.  He could drive a tractor well before he had a legal driver’s license.  Willard was a hard-working young man who took pride in a job well done.  He graduated from Ririe High School and then joined the United States Navy where he quickly excelled in sonar technology.  When he returned from the military, he worked on the family farm and then for Burns Brothers Concrete as a manager and retired delivering gravel for them.

He was a Member of the Teamsters Union.  He enjoyed fishing, shooting rifles, restoring cars and was an excellent mechanic.  He loved to help his neighbors with home projects, small engine repair, concrete, and auto repair.  He was an excellent gardener and had a beautiful yard where he grew grapes, peaches, apples, raspberries, strawberries and tomatoes.  For an old guy he was good with technology!

He is survived by his daughter Paula Arnold of Pocatello, his son Jason (Annie) Moore of Clarkston, Washington, step-daughter Cindy (Sandy) Rock of Meridian, step-son Ricky Weeks of Idaho Falls, step-son Troy (Tracy) Weeks of Swan Valley, two sisters, Julia (Scott) Randall of Coltman, and Margaret Pollak of Anaheim, California, a brother John (Rosemary) Moore of Ririe, Idaho, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marion Pfeiffer.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho 83442.  The family will visit with friends Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
