William Leo Atwell, 67 of Rigby, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at his home of natural causes.
He was born March 9, 1946 in Corinth, New York to Frank J. Atwell and M Ella Standifer Atwell. He was raised and attended schools in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from high school in Scottsdale, Arizona. Following high school, he served in the US Navy from 1963 to 1978 and achieved the rank of ETCS Boiler Tech Senior Chief. He lived in San Diego, California, Phoenix, Arizona and Rigby, Idaho during his adult life.
Bill enjoyed bowling and playing pool and participated in bowling and pool leagues. He was also a talented woodworker and built many furniture items.
He is survived by his daughters, Lora A Felix, of Glendale, Arizona, Gina Moore of San Diego, California, sisters, Brenda L Atwell, of Auburn, Washington, Yvonne M Atwell of Auburn, Washington, Francie H Phillips, of Phoenix, Arizona, Janet G Griffin of Covington, Washington and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Leo & Clara Freschette and William and Margaret Atwell.
A celebration of his life will be held at Noon, Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Don’s Lounge in Rigby.
