William "Bill" Owen Boyce

William “Bill” Owen Boyce, 84 of Rigby, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Hospice Home in Idaho Falls. Bill was born August 27, 1931 in Rigby, Idaho to Raymond Carlos Boyce and Alta Pearl Sayer Boyce. He was raised and attended schools in Rigby. On January 6, 1953, he married Jacqueline Noble in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple; they were blessed with a daughter and two sons. Bill was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked as a chemist for Westinghouse at the Naval Reactor Facility for 40 years. He enjoyed horses, horseback riding, farming, hunting, fishing, singing and camping with family and friends. Bill is survived by a daughter, Terry (Willy) Schmitt, of Monteview; sons, Gary Lynn (Paula) Boyce, of Rigby, Alan James (Jennifer) Boyce, of Rotterdam, New York; grandchildren, Candice, Crystal, Josh and Hadley, and 10 great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline, sister Myrle and brother, Kenneth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Rigby East LDS Stake Center, 4021 East 300 North, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby; and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
