William Kirk Hansen

William “Kirk” Hansen, 65, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, in Idaho Falls. Kirk was born on September 2, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Arnold Lynn Hansen and Ann Roubidoux Hansen.

Kirk attended schools at Fairview Elementary and Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls. On April 15, 1978, he married Artencia (Tennie) Christofferson in Idaho Falls and together made their home North of Idaho Falls.

Kirk has worked for H-K Contractors and presently owned with his wife, Tennie, his own rock drilling and blasting company, Eagle Rock Blasting. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Kirk is survived by his loving wife; Artencia “Tennie” Hansen of Idaho Falls, Idaho. His children; Christina Taylor of Idaho Falls, Felicia Leavitt of Fate, Texas, and Greg (Tausha) Hansen of Rigby, Idaho. Mother; Ann Beddes of Idaho Falls and Stepmother, Lennie Hansen of Menan, Idaho. Sisters; Vicky Sauer of Idaho Falls, Lorrie (Bill) Distefano of Provo, Utah, Lorina (Rod) Morris of Grant, Idaho, CharLynn (Sheldon) Stegman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lorna (Lloyd) Romriell of Paul, Idaho, and Stepsisters; Debi (John) Waddell of St. Anthony, Idaho and Laura Peterson of Northern California. His brothers; Ricky (Sylvia) Hansen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kim (Nancy) Hansen of Rigby, Idaho, and Stepbrothers; Wade (Sherri) Peterson of Menan, Idaho and Lynn (Pam) Peterson of Cameron, Missouri. He and Tennie have five grandchildren.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Lynn Hansen. A sister, Terri Shelton, brother Michael Shane Hansen, a daughter, Misty Hansen and a stepfather, Kenny Leo Beddes.

A funeral service will be held for Kirk on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Grant Building, (3431 East 100 North, Rigby, ID 83442). The family will meet with friends prior to the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Interment will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
