William J. Johnson

William J. Johnson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and fisherman died peacefully January 22, 2011 in Penngrove California, at the age of 80. William was a former resident of Grant and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by 7 children, 34 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 foster children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Vaughn Johnson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 27, at 6:00 p.m. at the LDS Church in Petaluma, California, 745 N. Webster St. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. An additional funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
