William Henry Millet 76, of Rigby, Idaho passed away peacefully in his home on November 5, 2015, surrounded by his wife and children.
Bill was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on April 14, 1939. His early years were spent in Utah until when, as a teenager, his family moved to Rigby, Idaho. Bill graduated from Rigby High School in 1957. He served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to the California South Mission. Bill finished his education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he met his beautiful wife, Janet Bullard. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 19, 1964. After moving several times, Bill and Jan settled in Rigby, Idaho, where they raised their six children.
Bill worked for the Department of Energy as a computer analyst until retirement. He faithfully served in all of his church callings, such as Scout Master, various Sunday School and Priesthood offices and as Bishop of the Rigby 1st Ward from 1988 to 1995. In their later years, Bill and Jan completed a service mission at West Piney Girls Camp and were called as full-time missionaries to the London England LDS Temple.
Bill was preceded in death by parents Lorin Elmer Millet and Ruth Maria Henry and his brother Robert Millet. He is survived by his wife, Jan, of 51 years, his children Susan (Joel) Price, Debbie Millet, Bill (Nikki) Millet, Beth (Scott) Clark, Kara (Josh) Ashton, Melanie (Steve) Baker, 19 grandchildren, and his siblings Edward (Joyce), Clark (Dianne), and Jane (Mike) Bryson.
Services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Rigby South Stake Center. The family will be visiting with family and friends starting at 9:30 to 10:45 am. Burial will be at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
