Hard working cowboy, William Blair Robison Jr passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, while hunting with his family and friends. He was the oldest son of William Blair, and Norma Rae Lambert Robison and was born at the Rigby Maternity Home on August 26, 1963, in Rigby, Idaho.
Blair attended grade school in Howe, Idaho and graduated from Butte High School in Arco, Idaho. His life was spent doing what he loved most, being a cowboy. With family ranches anywhere from Montana to Wyoming, with Idaho being where he spent the majority of his time.
He was handy with a rope and knew his way with horses and cattle. Back in the day Blair liked to spend his winters in Arizona, where he would help with horse shows, auctions, and golf tournaments. For nine or so years he was also a Repo man, one of the few who was tough and mean enough to do the job, and he was dang good at it. Let’s be honest, he would do just about anything to earn a dollar.
In the last ten years or so he spent his summers in the place he loved most, Grays Lake, Idaho.
When he wasn't tending cows or taking care of the place, you could usually find him hanging out with some of his best friends. He loved to hunt with his children and friends and cook for them when they came to visit. He made a mean pot of chili and man he could cook a good steak.
He was always the life of the party.
Blair is survived by his children; Stetson Robison of Ririe, Idaho, Chase (Cassie) Robison of Rexburg, Idaho, and Cydnee (Chase) Hall or Rigby, Idaho. His parents, Bill and Norma Robison of Dingle, Idaho. Siblings; David (Trisha) Robison of Rigby, Idaho, Steve (Nikki) Robison of Dingle, Idaho, Doug (Lauren) Robison of Kimberly, Idaho, and Mike (Jamie) Robison of Dingle, Idaho. He loved his two grandchildren, Broc Robison and Harlee Jo Hall. We also can’t forget his pups, Zorie and El-Chapo.
A funeral service is planned for Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID). The family will meet with friends at Eckersell Funeral Home prior to the service on Monday, 9:30 to 10:45 am. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
