Wilmer "Bill" Fred Taylor

Wilmer “Bill” Fred Taylor, age 87, of Rigby, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at his sons home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Wilmer was born July 5, 1917 at Rigby, Idaho a son of Curtis Wilmer Taylor and Annie Sofie Petersen Taylor. He attended schools in Rigby, Northern California where he lived for 10 years and Ricks College. He worked for his father in the C.W. Taylor and Sons feed store in Rigby. In 1952 he started working for the U.S. Postal Service as a Postal Clerk. He retired in 1976 after 24 years. On July 14, 1955 he married Grace Fullmer in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Rigby until 2 years ago when they moved to Salt Lake City. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission for the church in the Spanish American mission spending time in Texas and New Mexico. He enjoyed raising flowers and vegetables to share with neighbors, friends and family. Survivors include: his wife Grace Taylor of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1 daughter Ellen C. (Ron) Bingham of Idaho Falls, 3 sons; Fred C. (Kathy) Taylor of Rigby, Lynn C. (Deena) Taylor of Kearns, Utah, Blaine J. (Robyn) Taylor of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1 brother Elbert D. (Lila) Taylor of Rigby, 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, 1 brother killed in World War II and a son Myron Dee Taylor. Funeral services will be held Monday July 19, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Clark Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Richard Howard officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
