Zelda Agnes Jardine

November 10, 1910 — January 18, 2005

Zelda Agnes Jardine, 94, of Idaho Falls, Idaho died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center. Zelda was born November 10, 1910 in Taylor, Idaho the daughter of Daniel James Lords and Ella Catherine Cook Lords. She attended schools in Taylor, Buck and Ucon. She married William Fredrickson Jardine on November 29, 1930 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on January 2, 1957. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints she had served as a Relief Society President, Primary President, a camp director for he young women’s program, in the M.I.A. and was an active genealogist. She worked as a nurse for Dr. John Hatch at the L.D.S. Hospital in Idaho Falls and in 1957 to 1958 was Idaho State Mother of the Year. She loved her religion, attending the temple, helping others and being with her family. She is survived by two sons, Val Dee Jardine and Tharon L. (Nanci) Jardine both of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Jardine, her parents, five sisters, six brothers and a granddaughter, Valene Jardine. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Grant Ward LDS Chapel. The family will meet with friends prior to services on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Grant Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home. In lue of flowers, donations may be made to the Developmental Workshop in Zelda’s name.
