Zenaida Dimaano Shipp

Zenaida Dimaano Shipp, age 83, of Layton, Utah, passed away at her stepson’s home in St. Anthony, Id. where she has lived for the past 19 months, Saturday, April 4, 2020.

She was born December 26, 1936 in Malvar Batangus, Philippines, a daughter to Apolonio W. Dimaano and Natividad Viaje Dimaano.

She grew up in the Philippines and attended schools there receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in finance from the University of The East Philippines.  She worked for a finance company for 35 years in the Philippines.

She married Dale R. Shipp June 14, 1999 in Quezon City, Philippines and has lived in the United States for 20 years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, fishing and cooking. She was a strong willed lady. Having the loving traits of our Savior Jesus Christ. Always loving, serving and seeing to the needs of others. Continually giving and showing gratitude for what she had, and had been given. Dale (husband) died a few days shy of 99. We know she gave him years to his life with her love and taking care of him. She had a very sweet spirit. Everyone that met her loved her. She will be missed very much.

She is survived by her daughter, Gileny Yuchengco of Makadi, Philippines; step-daughters, Barbara Crowther of Pocatello, ID, Diana Mooney of Far West, UT; step-son Darnell (Priscilla) Shipp of St. Anthony, ID; sisters, Carmelita and Araceli and a brother, Filomeno Dimaano, all of the Philippines; 29 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 4 brothers and her husband Dale Shipp.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
